Job summary

Vision Innovation Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Associate to join our patient care team. The ideal candidate will support providers with diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures and related administrative tasks, with on-the-job training provided for career paths in ophthalmic technician or scribe.

Responsibilities include taking histories, performing eye measurements, dilating eyes, and assisting with inventory, with travel to other locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories and verify information.
• Perform visual function and diagnostic tests, such as applanation tonometry, refraction, and retinoscopy.
• Utilize tools such as a Humphrey field analyzer and OCT to take eye measurements.
• Inform the ophthalmologist about changes to a patient's visual acuity and other vision issues.
• Dilate eyes to prepare patients for their eye exam.
• Explain how to properly use eye drops or other medications.
• Explain how to properly use contact lenses.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Traveling to other locations.
