Job summary

American Vision Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to prepare patients for examinations, collect histories, and perform essential tests under the ophthalmologist’s guidance.

You will support doctors, manage patient flow, and maintain spotless exam rooms while delivering high-quality patient care and education. A positive, flexible attitude is essential in a fast-paced eye care environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of ophthalmology experience preferred.
• COA/COT is a plus.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced clinic.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible schedule, Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for exams, collecting medical history.
• Perform preliminary tests and measurements for the ophthalmologist.
• Assist clinicians during examinations and procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and sterile supplies.
• Educate patients on conditions and procedures, obtain informed consent.
