Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• OA-I or OA-II ophthalmic assistant experience.
• Strong attention to detail and patient service.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient charts for completeness and accuracy.
• Takes ocular and systemic history and records visual acuity.
• Performs exam-related testing (OCT, visual fields, photography, pachymetry, biometry).
• Assists with lensometry, refractometry, slit lamp and tonometry exams.
• Acts as scribe and enters data into EMR or paper charts.
• Administers topical ophthalmic or oral medications and ensures consent.
