Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• OA1: 0–2 years ophthalmic assistant experience.
• OAII: 2+ years ophthalmic assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.
• Take ocular and systemic history and record visual acuity.
• Perform testing including OCT, automated visual fields, photography, pachymetry, biometry.
• Perform lensometry, automated refractometry, slit lamp exam with tonometry and anterior chamber assessment.
• Act as scribe and document in EMR or paper charts.
• Administer topical ophthalmic or oral medications.
• Assist with patient education and informed consent.
• Oversee patient flow and maintain exam room cleanliness.
