Job summary

American Vision Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to prepare patients for exams, collect medical information, and perform preliminary tests with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.

You will support doctors with tests, measurements, and patient education, while helping maintain a clean and efficient clinic environment, Monday through Friday, with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience in Ophthalmology preferred.
• COA, COT is a plus.
• Detail oriented; able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible schedule Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients and visitors with a positive, warm disposition.
• Keeps doctors’ rooms filled to ensure clinic patient flow.
• Obtains patient histories through intake assessments and notes findings in EHR.
• Performs ophthalmic tests and measurements per doctor instructions.
• Assists in minor office procedures and patient education on conditions and procedures.
• Maintains exam rooms, including cleaning and sterilization.
