Lex Health Eye Care Associates in Columbia, SC seeks a PRN Ophthalmic Assistant/Scribe to support ophthalmic patients and clinicians during day shifts (M-Th 7:30-16:30, F 7:30-12:30). Responsibilities include patient intake, documentation, scheduling, and EPIC EHR data entry.

Certification in COA and BLS is preferred, with on-the-job training available for the right candidate. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication, and the ability to handle multiple

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience assisting in ophthalmic care and patient interaction preferred.
• Strong attention to privacy and confidentiality.
• Familiarity with Epic EHR or similar medical records systems preferred.

Aufgaben

• Assist patients and providers with direct and indirect care.
• Document patient data and observations in medical records.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient referrals as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment.
• Serve as a clinical scribe when required and accurate data entry into Epic.
