Job summary

FORVIA HELLA is seeking an OpEx and Industrial Engineer Specialist to drive continuous improvement across production facilities in the United States. You will lead Lean Six Sigma projects, standardize best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable efficiency gains and cost reductions.

The role requires 5+ years in operations or manufacturing engineering, strong analytical skills, and the ability to travel to multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing engineering, process improvement, or similar.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge are required; OpEx experience is essential.
• Professional Lean Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in production to reduce waste and boost productivity.
• Develop and implement OpEx projects and standardize best practices across the organization.
• Analyze existing processes, identify improvements, and drive changes with measurable impact.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address root causes and improve performance.
• Conduct capacity studies and production flow analyses to identify efficiency gains.
• Design facility layouts for efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide OpEx and lean training and support change management.
• Create end-to-end supply chain models reflecting cost structures and resources.
• Develop standardized process metrics to monitor consistency and predictability.
• Manage projects to reduce costs, improve service, and customer satisfaction.
• Regularly audit process control systems for compliance and efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Travel to various sites as required.
