Job summary

FORVIA HELLA is seeking an OpEx and Industrial Engineer Specialist in Illinois to lead continuous improvement in our production environment. You will apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and KPI development to reduce waste and boost productivity across sites.

You will design efficient layouts, conduct capacity analyses, train teams, and drive cross-functional improvement projects while ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in operations or process improvement.
• Lean and Six Sigma knowledge required; Black/Green Belt desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel to various sites.

Responsibilities

• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma to reduce waste and improve productivity.
• Lead OpEx initiatives and standardize best practices.
• Analyze processes and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on improvements.
• Conduct capacity studies and production flow analyses.
• Design facility layouts for efficiency, safety and compliance.
• Train teams on OpEx and lean principles; support change management.
• Develop end-to-end supply chain models reflecting costs.
• Create standardized process measurement tools.
• Manage projects to reduce costs and improve service.
• Audit process control systems for compliance and efficiency.
• Ensure health, safety, environment standards are met.
