Job summary

InterCon Construction is looking for a responsible individual to operate heavy machinery in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Responsibilities include following safety procedures, reviewing blueprints, and performing routine maintenance on equipment.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma, a valid Class A CDL license, and be able to lift over 20 pounds regularly. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for ensuring safety and efficiency in operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver’s License Class A CDL required.
• Willingness to travel is necessary.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, standing, and walking for long periods.
• Capability to lift, push, pull 20+ pounds regularly.

• Locate underground utility services, such as pipes or wires, prior to beginning work.
• Review blueprints or specifications to determine work requirements.
• Utilize different machines for placement and removal of dirt/debris.
• Use machinery to guide and install pipe and cable.
• Perform routine maintenance of equipment.
• Assist with Laborer jobs as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/Equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License Class A CDL required.
• Willing to travel.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift, push, pull 20+ pounds regularly.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Experience operating rubber tire tractor.
• Preferred experience operating other machines: backhoes, skid loaders, dozers, sidebooms, vibratory plows.
