Job summary

Star Construction, LLC is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator to install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure. You will operate drill equipment, determine bore paths, and ensure safe, compliant work on-site across weather conditions.

You will verify utilities, maintain bore schedules, perform site setup and maintenance, and support other duties as assigned. CDL preferred; valid driver's license required; 18+; US work authorization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Valid Driver's License is REQUIRED for this position and CDL preferred.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

• Valid Driver's License is REQUIRED for this position
• Class A CDL is preferred
• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
