Job summary

Star Construction LLC is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator to operate drill equipment for underground telecom cables and infrastructure in Missouri. You will determine bore paths, locate utilities, and ensure safe, on-time installation while maintaining a bore schedule.

The role requires a valid drivers license; Class A CDL is preferred. 18+ and authorization to work in the United States are required. Competitive benefits accompany weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Class A CDL is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state drivers license (non-provisional) with acceptable driving record.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with drilling equipment and bore setup/design processes.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Utilize Mud mixing systems.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Site set-up, clean-up and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks

What You’ll Need

• Valid Driver's License is REQUIRED for this position
• Class A CDL is preferred
• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
