Job summary

Star Construction LLC is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator to install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure. You will determine bore paths, operate drill equipment, and verify utilities while maintaining a bore schedule and handling site setup and maintenance.

This role requires driving credentials, a valid CDL with tanker endorsement, and experience with drilling equipment. You will work in various weather conditions and be part of a safety-first team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or relevant work experience.
• CDL Class A with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Experience with drilling equipment and bore path concepts.
• Authorization to work in the United States for the company.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Utilize Mud mixing systems during drilling operations.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Site setup, clean-up, and equipment maintenance responsibilities.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
