Job summary

Star Construction LLC is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator in Mt Pleasant, TN to install underground telecom cables and infrastructure. You will determine bore paths, operate heavy drill equipment, and maintain schedules while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Requirements include 18+ years old, US work authorization, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement preferred. Expect full-time, onsite work with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record (no provisional).
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement preferred.
• Experience operating drilling equipment and understanding bore design.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Utilize Mud mixing systems.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Responsible for site setup, clean-up, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement preferred
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
