Job summary

Mars Petcare is seeking a Cannery Packaging Operator - KKC for the 3rd shift (nights) in a fast-paced packaging environment. You will maintain line efficiency, ensure safe operation of packaging equipment, and contribute to achieving packaging scores while supporting continuous improvements.

The role requires previous manufacturing experience, English literacy, and ability to work a flexible schedule. Lifts up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods are common in this site.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and understand English
• Submit an OAP or Cross-Bid form
• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Proficient in computer software's

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent packaging line efficiency with the set plan and escalates any deviations
• Ensure safe and correct operation of packing lines equipment and plant
• Responsible for the achievement of packaging score
• Ensure cleaning regimes are upheld and fulfilled to the highest standard
• Actively participate in Operational processes that support the improvement of our business performance
• Any ad hoc requests

Shift Schedule

Shift: 3rd (nights)

Schedule: Monday- Friday

Hours: 11pm-7:30am

Job Purpose

The Packaging Operator will be a multi-skilled packing associate who is responsible for achieving maximum efficiency of our packing lines whilst ensuring the highest safety and quality standards are maintained.

Minimum Requirements

• Submit an OAP or Cross-Bid form
• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Proficient in computer software's.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.).
• Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping.
• Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment.
• Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support production needs and to conduct multi-task work in a very fast paced work environment
• Ability to read, write and understand English

Preferred Requirements

• Technical degree or certifications
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing role
• Packaging equipment experience
