Job summary

Mars Petcare is seeking a Cannery Packaging Operator for the night shift (3rd shift, 11pm-7:30am) at the KKC facility. You will help maintain line efficiency, operate packaging equipment safely, and contribute to quality and safety standards.

The role requires prior warehouse/manufacturing experience, basic computer skills, and a potential technical degree or certifications. Night shift with a fast-paced environment and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Submit an OAP or Cross-Bid form.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in computers/software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent packaging line efficiency with the set plan.
• Ensure safe and correct operation of packing lines equipment and plant.
• Responsible for the achievement of packaging score.
• Ensure cleaning regimes are upheld and fulfilled to the highest standard.
• Actively participate in processes that support business performance improvements.
• Handle ad hoc requests as needed.

Schedule: Monday- Friday

Hours: 11pm-7:30am

Job Purpose

The Packaging Operator will be a multi-skilled packing associate who is responsible for achieving maximum efficiency of our packing lines whilst ensuring the highest safety and quality standards are maintained.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements

• Submit an OAP or Cross-Bid form
• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Proficient in computer software’s.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.).
• Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping.
• Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment.
• Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support production needs and to conduct multi-task work in a very fast paced work environment
• Ability to read, write and understand English

Preferred Requirements

• Technical degree or certifications
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing role
• Packaging equipment experience
