Job summary

Charlotte Pipe invites applications for a foundry worker to perform core making and mold preparation tasks in a production environment. The position requires standing for long periods, tolerating hot and loud conditions, and operating basic tools and forklifts as needed.

• High school diploma required.
• Previous experience in a foundry preferred.
• Experience in automatic molding and core-making machines a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and Shovel sand and keep areas clean.
• Dry molds after adding wash to molds by spraying or swabbing.
• Setting cores in molds.
• Read and follow process sheets.
• Core clean up, filing, sanding molds, wash molds, closing molds.
• Using basic hand, air tools and hand hoists.
• Forklift operation as required.
• Weigh down molds.
• Prepare core and drag molds for closing.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to tolerate hot working conditions and a loud environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Schedule

• Must be available to work assigned shifts and overtime as production requirements dictate.
