Job summary

Charlotte Pipe is seeking workers to support foundry operations in Wisconsin. The role involves handling sand, molding, and core-making processes to maintain production flow. You will read process sheets, prepare molds, and operate basic tools and forklift as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and prior foundry experience; experience with automatic molding and core-making machines is a plus. Overtime and weekend work may be required, with standard employee benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and shovel sand and keep areas clean.
• Dry molds after washing and spray or swab.
• Set cores in molds and prepare for closing.
• Read and follow process sheets.
• Perform core cleanup, filing, sanding, washing, and closing molds.
• Operate basic hand and air tools and hand hoists.
• Operate forklift as required.
• Weigh down molds.
• Prepare core and drag molds for closing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dry molds after adding wash to molds by spraying or swabbing
• Setting cores in molds
• Read and follow process sheets
• Core clean up, filing, sanding molds, wash molds, closing molds
• Using basic hand, air tools and hand hoists
• Forklift operation as required
• Weigh down molds
• Prepare core and drag molds for closing

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required.
• Previous experience in a foundry preferred.
• Experience in automatic molding and core-making machines a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to tolerate hot working conditions and a loud environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Schedule

• Must be available to work assigned shifts and overtime as production requirements dictate.
