Job summary

BARNES is seeking a manufacturing associate in Ohio to set up and run CNC Grinder, EDM, or Laser equipment, ensuring parts meet strict specifications. You will monitor dimensions with precision tools and complete quality documentation throughout production.

The role requires two years in a production/shop environment, and a high school diploma or equivalent. You will also assemble components, verify fits, and build electrodes for Fast Hole EDM as part of daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Review paperwork to determine required assembly and any special options.

• Use precision measuring tools to verify correct fit and dimensions.
• Build electrodes for Fast Hole EDM.

• Primary duties are to set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines ensuring parts conform to specification and requirements.
• Monitor parts dimensions using jigs, fixtures, gages, calipers, micrometers and height gages to assure conformity of parts.
• Complete paperwork required to document the quality of parts completed.
• Checks paperwork to determine required assembly and any special options.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies, per customer order.
• Uses precision measuring tools to check parts for correct fit and dimensions.
• Build electrodes for Fast Hole EDM

Qualifications

• Able to use basic math to add, subtract, multiply or divide and may work with fractions, decimals or percentages
• Able to follow simple instructions or directions
• Able to communicate verbally and in writing as to work requirements, work in progress or work completion
• Ability to meet deadlines.
