Job summary

City of Tulsa is seeking a qualified Operator II for heavy repair and construction duties, with progression in the major repair field and some lead responsibilities. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.

The role requires at least one year of experience as an Operator II, with standard hours listed as Wednesday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, at the Garnett location. Various licenses and certificates may be required within specified timeframes after hire.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must meet the following criteria:

• a) Graduation from high school or possession of a General Educational Development Certificate (GED);
• b) Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in the major repair or heavy construction field, including,
• c) Semiskilled and skilled work in the major repair or heavy construction field with some lead work responsibility;
• d) One (1) year as an Operator II.

HOURS:

WEDNESDAY-SATURDAY 7:00AM-5:30PM

LOCATION:

5605 S. Garnett Road (IW)

Licenses and Certificates:

• 1. Possession of a valid Oklahoma Class “D” Driver License
• 2. Class “A” CDL with endorsements within designated timeframes depending on division, some positions
• 3. Relevant Class “D” Water/Wastewater License as issued by the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) within 6 months of hire, some positions
• 4. Confined Space Entry Certification and/or Certification on Self -Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) within 6 months of hire, some positions.
