Job summary

Schaeffler Group USA Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator in Fort Mill, SC to prepare machines and participate in production sequences. You will monitor production, operate equipment, inspect parts for defects, and support maintenance to minimize downtime.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, strong English communication, and the ability to lift heavy objects. A valid US work status is required. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401k with company match.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information.
• Check production status within and between production sequences and take action on deviations.
• Operate machines and production processes following documented procedures.
• Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective items per protocol.
• Support maintenance to repair and prevent downtime and inspect machines.
• Follow safety and production rules and use PPE at all times.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information
• Check production status within and in between each production sequence and taking action in case of deviations
• Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes
• Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol
• Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Your Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions write clear communication in English
• Ability to operate complex machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Good visual acuity
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship

Preferred

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience of operating machines in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with power tools
• Ability to read and interpret Blueprints
