Job summary

Schaeffler invites qualified candidates to join its Fort Mill, SC operations as a machine operator. You will prepare machines for production, set tooling and parameters according to work orders, and monitor status through each sequence.

The role requires reading instructions, operating complex equipment, lifting medium-heavy objects, and complying with PPE and safety rules. Preferred candidates have 2+ years of experience and can read blueprints; sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate clearly in English.
• Ability to operate complex machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for production by tooling and parametrization per work orders.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information
• Check production status within and in between each production sequence and taking action in case of deviations
• Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes
• Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol
• Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Your Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions write clear communication in English
• Ability to operate complex machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship

Preferred

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience of operating machines in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with power tools

Ability to read and interpret Blueprints

Salary Range: $21.20 - $23.85

2nd and 3rd shift premium available
