Job summary

Schaeffler Transmission Systems, LLC in Wooster, OH is seeking a Production Operator to support the manufacturing line. You will prepare machines, monitor progress, perform inspections, and help maintain equipment while following safety rules and procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to read English instructions, and good visual acuity. Starting wages are $22.55 per hour with 2nd and 3rd shift premiums and comprehensive benefits.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information
• Check production status within and in between each production sequence and taking action in case of deviations
• Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes
• Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol
• Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Your Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English
• Ability to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Good visual acuity
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship

Preferred

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience of operating machines in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with power tools
• Ability to read Blueprints
