Monogram Foods in Martinsville, VA is hiring an MV1 3rd Smokehouse Operator II (35249) for the full-time 3rd shift. The position offers $19.44-$23.52 per hour and requires applicants who are at least 18 years old and not currently enrolled in high school.

Extended hours may be required on production needs, including weekends. As part of the role you will load/unload seven smokehouses, set controls, monitor cooking, document temperatures, and ensure GMP/HACCP compliance while keeping work areas

Job Details: Level: Experienced, Job Location: Martinsville VA - Martinsville, VA, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $19.44 - $23.52Hourly, Job Shift: 3rd Shift, MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD AND NOT CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN HIGH SCHOOL

"This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends."

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load and unload seven smokehouses
• Set electrical controlling devices for time and temperature according to product being smoked
• Monitor cooking process, checking product every two hours
• Remove product when appropriate shrinkage has been achieved according to product standards
• Move product to tempering room for cooling
• Document temperature and actual ambient air temperature during every check and upon completion of cooking cycle
• Dip nuggets and prepare for packaging
• Clean and sanitize smokehouses and cooking racks
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Follow GMP/HAACP procedures
• Assist with other tasks as assigned
