Job Purpose

The Equipment Operator will perform a variety of skilled or semi-skilled tasks involving the operation, servicing, and maintenance of heavy equipment in an industrial recycling operation.

Education / Training

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Previous experience operating a front-end loader, tracked heavy equipment;
  2. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance;
  3. Able to work in a team environment and individually;
  4. Work in all weather conditions;
  5. Must have a willingness to work safely.

Essential and Physical Activities Functions:

  1. Strength – Able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance;
  2. Motion – Employee will sit for the majority of the shift, may kneel, squat and climb steps as needed throughout the day;
  3. Vision/Hearing Requirements – Must be able to detect differences between sounds that vary in pitch and loudness, and see details at close range or at a distance;
  4. Work Environment - Work in all weather conditions;
  5. Emotional Demands – Job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations;
  6. Safety – Position is safety sensitive and requires following all safety procedures, policies, and PPE requirements.
