Job summary

Alcon is seeking an Operator I, Production Technical Operations, in Fort Worth, TX. This para-professional role focuses on manual and operational tasks in production, ensuring equipment is set up, operated, maintained, and troubleshot to meet product specifications, schedules, and quality standards.

The position is onsite on the 1st shift (7:30am–4:00pm, Mon–Fri). A High School diploma and proficient English are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Fluent reading, writing, understanding and communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Handle manual or operational tasks to ensure smooth production processes.
• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment.
• Ensure products meet specifications, schedules, volume/cost/waste targets, and quality standards.
• Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods.
• Monitor output quality and identify or rework faulty products.
• Maintain accurate daily production records for performance analysis.

The Operator I, Production Technical Operations (Para-Professional & Support Path), is primarily responsible for handling manual and operational tasks in production, ensuring equipment is set up, operated, maintained, and troubleshot to meet product specifications, schedules, and quality standards.

Specifics Include:

• Handle manual or operational tasks as per guidelines to ensure smooth and efficient processes
• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment
• Ensure products meet specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards
• Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods
• Monitor output quality to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products
• Maintain accurate daily production records for performance analysis
• Review work orders, schedule resources, and monitor operations for alignment with business objectives
• Adhere to Good Practice (GxP) regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining documentation, and ensuring quality control
• Complete all required training and contribute to organizational compliance
• Commit to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Work Hours: 1st Shift - 8 hours (Mon - Fri 730am to 4pm)
