Job summary

Alcon, a global eye care leader, is hiring an Operator I, Processing (Para-Professional & Support Path) for the Phaco Secondaries department. You will handle equipment setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a 2nd shift, onsite role.

We value technical problem solving, attention to quality, and compliance with GxP and SOPs. English fluency and a High School Diploma are required, with sponsorship and relocation not available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces, and delivers innovative eye care products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency.

The Operator I, Processing (Para-Professional & Support Path), is primarily responsible for handling complex tasks in production operations, including equipment setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This position is within the Phaco Secondaries department. You will manage resources and monitor quality, requiring technical skills and problem-solving abilities.

Specifics include:

• Handle complex manual or operational tasks to ensure smooth and efficient processes
• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment
• Manage resources and schedules to meet specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards
• Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods
• Monitor output quality to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products
• Maintain accurate daily production records for performance analysis
• Make minor decisions within the task scope, requiring technical skills and problem-solving
• Review work orders, schedule resources, and monitor operations to align with business objectives and drive excellence
• Adhere to GxP regulations by following SOPs, maintaining documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing training
• Commit to regulatory compliance, meet individual job requirements, and contribute to organizational compliance and continuous improvement
