Aerotek is seeking a Level 2 Hollow Fiber Operator at White Bear Lake, MN. You will operate manual machines, perform detailed assembly, and follow process sheets to ensure consistent quality in a temperature-controlled, non-cleanroom environment.

You will inspect parts with microscopes and measuring tools, work in a small team, and manage multi-step processes while meeting strict production standards. The role includes a weekend shift (Fri-Sun 5:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.) with a $3 per hour differential

Job Title: Level 2 Hollow Fiber Operator

Job Description

The Level 2 Hollow Fiber Operator works in a highly process-oriented production environment, operating manual machines and performing detailed assembly tasks for filter components. You will set up and run equipment, inspect parts using microscopes and measuring tools, and follow process sheets and documentation to ensure consistent product quality. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, hand dexterity, and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods in a temperature-controlled facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate various manual machines in the Hollow Fiber production line, including loading parts, setting programs, and running equipment according to established procedures.
• Perform quality checks on parts using microscopes and measuring tools to verify dimensions, appearance, and overall product integrity.
• Work in the wrapping area to run the wrapper machine, including setup, adjustments, and routine quality inspections.
• Use small hand tools and tweezers to perform basic assembly of components, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout multi-step processes.
• Read and follow detailed process sheets, work instructions, and documentation to complete tasks correctly and maintain production records.
• Collaborate with a team of 1–2 coworkers at workstations to complete detailed, multi-step process jobs efficiently and safely.
• Stand at a workstation for up to 12 hours while performing repetitive assembly and machine operation tasks.
• Handle smaller, dexterous components with care, maintaining a high level of attention to detail during assembly and inspection.
• Consistently lift and move materials and components up to 20 pounds as part of daily production activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility and production standards.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of manufacturing experience.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills to interpret process sheets and complete documentation accurately.
• Experience reading from process sheets and performing production documentation.
• Ability to consistently lift up to 20 pounds throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts while working at a production station.
• Mechanical aptitude and good hand dexterity for operating machines and handling small components.
• Experience with small tools and basic assembly work.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally in a production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in assembly or medical assembly environments.
• Experience with machine operation and general labor in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with stocking, packaging, or cashier work that demonstrates reliability and attention to detail.
• Comfort working with microscopes, measuring tools, and other inspection equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in small teams at designated workstations.

Work Environment

This role is based in a non-cleanroom, temperature-controlled area focused on process-oriented workstations and hands-on mechanical tasks. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Bear Lake, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
