Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Read grading plans and construction documents
• Monitor grade elevations to meet specs
• Coordinate with PMs, subcontractors, and inspectors
• Perform pre-shift inspections and report maintenance

1st Precision Grading LLC is looking for a skilled and dependable Operator/Foreman to join our growing team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a hands-on leadership role where you\'ll drive projects forward, lead crews in the field, and deliver high-quality grading work that clients can count on. Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment including graders, scrapers, excavators, and compactors on grading and site prep projects


• Supervise and direct field crew members to ensure safe, efficient, and on-schedule project completion


• Read and interpret grading plans, site maps, and construction documents


• Monitor grade elevations and ensure work meets project specifications and tolerances


• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors on daily operations


• Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needs


• Enforce jobsite safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience operating heavy grading or earthwork equipment


• Prior foreman or crew lead experience in grading, excavation, or site development


• Ability to read and interpret civil grading plans and blueprints


• Strong knowledge of grade checking, drainage, and compaction standards


• Valid driver\'s license; CDL a plus


• Familiarity with GPS/machine control systems preferred


• Strong communication and leadership skills with a safety-first mindset
