Calumet is seeking a safety‑mocused Operator to handle raw materials and finished products in a rotating shift that includes nights and weekends. You will perform inspections, operate a forklift, record production data, and support maintenance tasks with limited supervision.

This role emphasizes teamwork, ownership, and a commitment to safety and environmental responsibilities, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements in a dynamic, high‑performance environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsabilidades

• Complete scheduled safety & environmental inspections and area housekeeping.
• Charge acids to Premix.
• Charge solids to Premix, D-Kettle, and E-Kettle, and F-Kettle.
• Sample product from kettles, presses, and candle filter as needed.
• Record all production/process data.
• Filter all batches and pump to storage tanks.
• Maintain filtration logs.
• Maintain intermediate tanks, lime slurry, oil skimmers, cooling towers, mud buckets, and assist in monitoring of wastewater treatment plant.
• Stock lime, carbon, filter aid, and press papers.
• Clean and dress presses with filter cloths and papers.
• Assist with candle filter maintenance as needed.
• Order supplies from storeroom.
• Maintain daily check-sheets.
• Assist/complete minor maintenance repairs as needed.
• Assist A Operator, if necessary.
• Routine inspections including but not limited to general inspections of area, wastewater treatment plant, lift station #1, safety inspections, etc.
• Operate a Forklift
• Provide vacation and absenteeism coverage as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned.

PURPOSE:

To handle, process and store raw materials and finished product following correct processes and procedures. Work a rotating shift that includes nights, weekends and holidays with limited supervision in a team environment. Successful applicants will be required to pass written skills assessment.
