Job summary

Calumet, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep our facility running smoothly, performing preventative maintenance on equipment and tanks and quickly addressing downtime.

You will work with a team to monitor processes and maintain inventories, with overtime or weekend work as needed. Qualifications include an Associate degree or 5+ years in mechanical maintenance, ability to lift 50 lbs, and experience with RSLogix 500/5000, PLCs and WonderWare.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant equipment to ensure continuous operation

• Monitor plant processes for potential failures and notify supervisor
• Maintain work orders and assist with maintenance inventory
• Work overtime, extra shifts, holidays, or weekends as scheduled

PURPOSE:

Maintains facility in a manner that supports continuous operation of warehouse, equipment, tanks and support systems.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Efficiently and effectively maintains all plant equipment as required and/or administered by the Maintenance Manager.
• Efficiently and effectively performs preventative maintenance on all equipment, tanks and supporting system as directed.
• Quickly responds to any and all equipment downtime, troubleshoots the issue and take necessary action to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
• Continually monitors plant processes for potential failures and notify Maintenance Supervisor of any issues.
• Maintains work order process, by completing them timely and in a productive manner.
• Assist in the maintaining of Maintenance inventory.
• Must be able to work overtime, additional shifts, holidays, and/or weekends as needed or determined by the master schedule

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

• Associate degree from a technical college or 5 years or more experience in a mechanical maintenance position or industrial related field
• High School Diplomas or GED
• Must be able to work any shift
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job including walking and standing for long periods of time and physical lifting of up to 50 lbs.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

• Must have knowledge of RSlogix 500 and Rslogix 5000 Programs
• Programing BASIC Stamp Modular Controller and various PLC’s
• Experience with Soldering, MIG, and ARC welding, as well as wiring carious power supplies
• Advanced understanding of Wonder Ware, electrical, and mechanical systems, Formalization and Transmission know-how
