Job summary

Barry Callebaut seeks an Operator 2, Machine Molding at our St. Albans, VT facility to operate molding equipment and meet quality standards. You will work in a safe, GMP-compliant environment and contribute to production targets.

Responsibilities include setup, basic troubleshooting, quality checks, and SAP data entry. Strong mechanical aptitude and reliable attendance are essential, with a 20% shift differential noted in the schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic math skills.
• Minimum two years manufacturing experience, preferred.
• Fork Lift certification and Handcart certification required.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Operate Operator 1, Machine Molding duties.
• Set up and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
• Perform quality checks on product appearance and shape.

• Cross-train into other Operator Level 2 positions as needed.

POSITION TITLE: Operator 2, Machine Molding

REPORTING TO: Cell Lead

LOCATION: St. Albans, VT

About the role: The Operator 2, Machine position is responsible for operating molding equipment on the production Machine to safely manufacturing the required quantity and quality standards of finished product to meet the customer’s specifications.

SHIFT HOURS: Sunday Monday and Tuesday 7:00am - 7:15pm and Wednesday 7:00am - 1:15pm OR Wednesday 1:00pm - 7:15pm and Thursday Friday and Saturday 7:00am - 7:15pm. OR Thursday 1:00am - 7:15am and Thursday Friday and Saturday 7:00pm - 7:15am. SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: 20% hourly rate

• Observe all safety, sanitation, GMP and HACCP requirements
• Perform the duties of an Operator 1, Machine Molding
• Set up and basic trouble shooting of equipment
• Perform additional quality checks on the Machine with appearance and shape of product
• Enter performing confirmations and shift information into SAP
• Communicate KPI metrics at shift change; Rate, Re-melt generation, Down time
• Perform preventative maintenance, small repairs and/or improvements to the Machine
• Cross train into other Operator Level 2 positions within department if needed
• Cross train into Level 2 position within a secondary department if needed

About you:

• High school diploma or GED
• Mechanical ability/aptitude, a plus
• Good communication skills both verbally and written
• Math Skills
• Minimum two (2) years manufacturing experience, preferred
• Class 3 Fork Lift and Handcart certification, required
• Ability to stand on concrete floor for long periods of time
• Bend, squat, stretch, reach; frequently
• Ability to climb stairs, often
• Must be able to lift minimum of 50lbs, often
• Comfortable working at heights
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the facility
• Noise level can exceed .85 decibels
