Job summary

Classic Gears & Machining in Denmark, WI is hiring a dependable 1st shift Machine Operator to support precision gear and component production. You will operate CNC equipment, load/unload materials, and perform inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.

Read blueprints, follow work instructions, and maintain a clean, safe, organized workspace while collaborating with teammates to improve safety, quality, and on-time delivery. 50 lb lifting may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and follow written work instructions.
• Experience using measuring tools and inspection equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Reliable attendance and teamwork-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machining equipment to produce precision parts per production requirements.
• Load and unload materials while monitoring machine operation during production.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections with calipers, micrometers, gauges.
• Read blueprints and work instructions to verify specifications.
• Identify quality concerns and notify supervisors when adjustments are needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Collaborate with teammates to improve safety, quality, productivity and efficiency.
• Assist with other production tasks to support customer delivery schedules.
• Work overtime when necessary to meet production demands.

What You'll Do

Operate CNC machining equipment to produce precision parts according to production requirements.

Load and unload materials while monitoring machine operation throughout the production cycle.

Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Read blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers to verify product specifications.

Identify quality concerns and notify supervisors or machinists when adjustments are needed.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Assist with other production tasks as needed to support customer delivery schedules.

Work overtime when necessary to help meet production demands.
