Job summary

Classic Gears & Machining, LLC is seeking a skilled machinist to join a team focused on precision gear and component production. The role involves programming, setup, and operation of CNC machines to meet customer specifications in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Applicants should have 3-5 years of machining experience, be able to read blueprints, and possess strong math, problem-solving, and communication skills. Overtime may be required to ensure on-time delivery.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

A key Team Member to work with a group of machinist striving to continuously improve Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost Savings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Program, setup and run a CNC Machine to manufacture parts according to customer specs.
• Study blueprints to plan most effective and efficient way to manufacture.
• Operate machine to produce consistent quality parts to specs in the time frame allowed.
• Use measuring equipment to inspect parts for quality. Including 1 st piece inspection.
• Support problem solving small group activities.
• Willingness to work overtime to complete jobs for on time delivery.
• Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring new opportunities to add value to job.
• 3-5 Years of machining experience
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications and routings.
• Must possess strong math, problem solving and communication skills.
