Classic Gears & Machining is seeking a 1st Shift Machine Operator in Denmark, WI. The role involves operating CNC equipment to produce precision parts, loading/unloading materials, and performing first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure quality.

Applicants should read blueprints and follow work instructions while maintaining a safe, organized work area. Experience in manufacturing or machine operation is preferred; CNC exposure helps.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• CNC machining experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and follow written work instructions.
• Experience using measuring and inspection equipment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machining equipment to produce precision parts according to production requirements.
• Load and unload materials while monitoring machine operation throughout the production cycle.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Read blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers to verify product specifications.
• Identify quality concerns and notify supervisors or machinists when adjustments are needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work with teammates to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Assist with other production tasks as needed to support customer delivery schedules.
• Work overtime when necessary to help meet production demands.
