Job summary

MacLean Power Systems is seeking an Operator 1 - Forming to operate assigned mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment at our Tennessee facility. You will read basic blueprints, perform measurements, and complete required documentation while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role emphasizes adherence to 5S practices and company policies, with responsibilities spanning troubleshooting, quality checks, and collaborating with supervision for process improvements.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints (when applicable).
• Basic verbal and written communication and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Run assigned mechanical equipment.
• Ensure items produced pass quality control requirements.
• Perform moderately advanced troubleshooting of equipment and adjustments.
• Read and interpret blue prints if applicable.
• Use moderately advanced measuring instruments.
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately.
• Adhere to 5S standards (cleanliness of work area, etc.).
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Operates assigned mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Job Duties

• Run assigned mechanical equipment.
• Ensure that items produced pass quality control requirements.
• Perform moderately advanced troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments.
• Read and interpret blue prints if applicable.
• Use moderately advanced measuring instruments.
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately.
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education

• Perform work under minimal supervision.
• Handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher level staff.
• Possess solid working knowledge of subject matter.
• 1 to 3 years of experience.
