MacLean Power Systems, a leading manufacturer of engineered products for transmission and distribution infrastructure, invites you to join our plant as an Auto Weld Operator 1. You will operate welded equipment and help ensure parts meet quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Under supervision you will perform basic welding-related tasks, observe welds for quality, document results accurately, and maintain a safe, clean work area following 5S, safety, and environmental

Qualifications

  • Interpretation of work instructions.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Must be able to pass required vision tests.

Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned mechanical equipment.
  • Ensure that items produced pass quality control requirements.
  • Observe tests on welded surfaces to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Move fixtures and equipment as required to accomplish various jobs.
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately.
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area).
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Auto Weld Operator 1 - 2720

Performs work associated with the operation of assigned mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Job Duties
  • Operate assigned mechanical equipment
  • Ensure that items produced pass quality control requirements
  • Observe tests on welded surfaces to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications
  • Move fixtures and equipment as required to accomplish various jobs
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Education
  • Perform work under direct supervision
  • Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
  • Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
  • 0 to 2 years of experience
Competencies/ Skills
  • Ability to interpret work instructions
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directionsBasic verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to successfully pass required vision tests
