Job summary

Aerotek in Carpentersville, IL, is seeking a contract-to-hire Machine Operator to load and unload materials, move products, and monitor equipment for quality. The role offers structured training and a clear advancement pathway into higher-level operator roles.

• Use hand and power tools to support production, maintenance, and general shop activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and quench tanks to support safe operations.

Job description

You will load and unload machines, handle materials, and use hand and power tools while working safely. The position offers structured training, cross-training across multiple areas, and a clear pathway for advancement into higher-level machine operator roles.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload machines with raw materials and finished products in a safe and efficient manner.
• Handle materials throughout the production process, including using overhead cranes, forklifts, and CombiLift equipment to move products.
• Monitor machines during operation to ensure products move correctly through each stage of the process and meet quality expectations.
• Use hand and power tools to support production, maintenance, and general shop activities as required.
• Clean quench tanks and maintain a clean, organized work area to support safe and efficient operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
