Job summary

KMH is seeking an Operative Buyer (f/m/d) to lead the day-to-day procurement process for materials and components. You will handle requirements planning, purchase orders, and supplier coordination to ensure on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes structured, independent work, strong communication, and teamwork, with familiarity in MS Office, ERP systems, and AI tools. English is an advantage in a global environment, with competitive benefits and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Independently managing the operational procurement process – from requirements planning through to ensuring material availability on schedule.
• Creating, processing, and tracking purchase orders.
• Monitoring and ensuring delivery deadlines as well as actively managing schedules with suppliers.
• Negotiating framework agreements, prices, and terms and conditions.
• Requesting and evaluating quotations as well as conducting price comparisons.
• Processing and following up on supplier complaints.
• Maintaining item master data and procurement data.
• Providing operational support for projects and project-related procurement activities.
• Contributing to the optimization and further development of procurement processes.

This applies to you

• Completed commercial training and a good technical understanding
• Professional experience in operational procurement within a manufacturing company is desirable
• Confident communication skills and strong organizational abilities
