Job summary

Knorr Bremse Group in Delaware, USA, offers a student internship to support the implementation and global rollout of a Supplier Management and eSourcing platform, and to assist in developing AI and data analytics applications.

You will independently prepare analyses on procurement spend, delivery performance, price trends, and supplier quality, and help create presentations for management. The role offers international exposure, flexible hours and remote work.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, SCM, Data Analytics, Information Systems).
• Very good English; German language skills are a plus.
• Strong interest in purchasing, supplier management, data analytics and digital transformation.
• Excellent communication, proactive mindset and high motivation.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and global rollout of the supplier management and eSourcing platform.
• Assist in developing and deploying global AI and data analytics applications.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses on procurement spend, delivery performance, and supplier quality.
• Prepare presentations and decision documents for management meetings.
• Monitor supplier development and support supplier risk analyses.
• Collaborate with Strategic Purchasing and IT teams across Knorr-Bremse locations worldwide.
• Contribute to international projects and process optimization initiatives.

YOUR TASKS

• Support the implementation and global rollout of a Supplier Management and eSourcing platform


• Assist in developing, implementing and deploying global AI and data analytics applications


• Independently prepare ad hoc analyses covering procurement spend, delivery performance, material price trends, payment terms and supplier quality


• Prepare presentations, reports and decision documents for management meetings


• Monitor strategic supplier development and support supplier risk analyses


• Support the Strategic Purchasing team in its day-to-day activities, working closely with the IT department and Knorr-Bremse locations worldwide


• Contribute to international projects and process optimization initiatives

YOUR PROFILE

• Currently enrolled in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a comparable field of study


• Very good English skills; German language skills are a plus


• Strong interest in purchasing, supplier management, data analytics and digital transformation


• Excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset and a high level of motivation


• Ability to work independently, reliably and in a structured manner


• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail


• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint


• Experience with data analytics tools, AI applications or business intelligence solutions is an advantage
