The current BRIX Holdings portfolio includes Friendly’s®, Red Mango®, Smoothie Factory + Kitchen®, Souper Salad®, Orange Leaf® and Humble Donut® chains.

The Operations Training Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing all training and development programs for new and existing franchisees. This role ensures franchisees are properly trained in service standards, food safety, company policies, and operational procedures to deliver exceptional guest experiences and drive business performance. The position also plays a critical role in supporting successful new restaurant openings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive training programs, manuals, and resources for new openings and ongoing initiatives including rollout of new menu items, promotions, or systems.
  • Develop and manage detailed pre-opening training timelines (typically 2–4 weeks prior to opening).
  • Oversee training on POS systems, menu knowledge, service standards, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure all equipment, POS systems, and training tools are ready and appropriate products are in place before training begins.
  • Lead training on-site during opening weeks, ensuring all staff are trained on brand standards, systems, and customer service techniques.
  • Collaborate with Franchise Support Director to ensure locations are prepared for opening and operation, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Update training materials and methods based on industry trends and company needs.
  • Provide on-site support during soft opening and/or grand opening event.
  • Provide post-opening performance summary reports to senior leadership.
  • Draft and distribute the weekly newsletters and quarterly owner webinar decks.
  • Create webinar decks for rollout of new menu items, promotions, or systems.
  • Distribute monthly and weekly reports.
Required Skills
  • Previous experience in a Training Manager role, preferably within hospitality, retail, or multi-unit environments.
  • Experience in instructional design or curriculum development including creation of short form video for training purposes.
  • Strong ability to lead, motivate, and mentor franchisees during fast-paced openings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for delivering training and working with senior management.
  • Experience training large hourly teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Restaurant Management, Education, HR, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 2-3+ years of Full-Service or QSR management experience.
  • Multi-unit or new store opening experience strongly preferred.
