Job summary

Yusen Logistics seeks a Manager, Operations Training & Development to lead the Yusen Operations Academy and elevate capability across the Contract Logistics Group. You will own enterprise training standards, create content, and collaborate with Operations, HR, Safety, Quality, IT, and Customer Success to improve readiness and leadership.

Travel up to 40–50% is expected as you support new implementations, facility startups, and major process changes with structured training and measurable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Five+ years of progressive leadership in warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.
• Experience developing and managing training or workforce development programs.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory, safety, quality, and SOPs.
• Experience with LMS, training databases, certification tracking, or learning technologies.
• Knowledge of WMS, Microsoft Office, and operational reporting tools.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 40–50% as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, governance, and continuous improvement of the Yusen Operations Academy across the CLG.
• Develop and maintain standardized onboarding programs for hourly associates to senior leaders.
• Design and maintain curriculum, certification programs, and digital learning content.
• Own LMS, training records, certification tracking, compliance reporting, and skills validation.
• Develop enterprise standards for onboarding, process training, cross-training, and leadership development.
• Support new customer implementations, facility startups, acquisitions, and major process changes through training.
• Develop Train-the-Trainer programs enabling local facilities to sustain standards.
• Create leadership development programs for succession planning.
• Collaborate with HR, Safety, Quality, Engineering, IT, and Operations to ensure training aligns with policies and customer requirements.
• Use metrics, audits, and performance data to measure training effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Document and standardize operational best practices across the CLG network and integrate into curricula.
• Facilitate classroom instruction, workshops, simulations, hands-on training, and virtual events.
• Travel to operational locations to support deployment and assessments.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for operational learning and workforce development.
