Job summary

Yusen Logistics (Americas) in California seeks an experienced warehouse supervisor to plan, organize and execute daily shipping, receiving, and loading operations to ensure timely and cost-efficient freight movements.

You will oversee a 24/7 operation, manage staffing, budgets, and continuous improvement programs, and collaborate with HR and suppliers to meet KPI targets and LOS commitments.

Qualifications

• Eight years of supervisory/managerial experience in a high-volume warehouse.
• Experience with operating budgets and cost reduction initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relations across an organization.
• Computer literacy; experience with Warehouse/Yard Management Systems desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24/7 operations for scheduling, unloading, processing, loading, and shipping.
• Meet customer expectations on LOS and KPI; ensure damage-free shipments.
• Plan efficient labor utilization to achieve productivity targets.
• Coordinate training with HR and Safety Management for required programs.
• Develop SOPs and kaizen activities to improve ROI and efficiency.
• Recruit and manage subordinates and drive engagement and recognition.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and ethics.
• Maintain safe working conditions and high levels of productivity.
• Develop annual operating budgets and cost-reduction programs.
