Job summary

San Antonio River Authority is seeking an Operations Technician I to maintain recreational features and trails across Mission Reach and surrounding areas in San Antonio, TX. You will operate equipment, perform cleaning, minor repairs, and assist in maintaining water features and safety; occasional boat access may be required.

The role requires adherence to safety policies, ability to work in teams, and readiness to perform physical tasks in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency with less than 1 year of experience operating and maintaining landscape or agricultural equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains public recreational features including trails, benches, pavilions, signs and artwork; operates a pressure washer and cleans facilities.
• Loads trucks with sand, gravel or waste material and may operate a service barge or tractor with trailer as needed.
• Performs routine litter pickup, debris removal, and minor repairs to equipment and structures; responds to emergencies and on-site repairs.
