Job summary

The Film Market is seeking an Operations Technician to support broadcast operations as a part-time role. You will gain a holistic view of systems, workflows, and operations while meeting deadlines in a high-pressure environment.

Requirements include two years’ experience as an operations technician in a commercial TV setting, strong teamwork and communication, and a solid background in broadcast equipment operation. Union membership is required.

Responsibilities

• Gain a holistic overview of broadcast operations within 120–180 days.
• Work any shift as assigned, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily duties.
• Operate and support broadcast equipment as needed in daily workflow.

Job description

Must be willing to work any shift assigned including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

• A strong attention to detail, computer literate, should possess good technical understanding of equipment, and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with constant deadlines while adhering to corporate standards, policies and procedures
• Related experience and/or training considered as well as a combination of education and experience
• 2 years of experience working as an operations technician at a commercial television station with experience operating different broadcast equipment
• Must have a solid background in operation of broadcast television systems and equipment
• This is an IBEW Union position and requires union membership.
• Related military experience will be considered
