Job summary

The Film Market is seeking a Technical Operations Supervisor to oversee our on-air broadcast operations. You will lead live television events, coordinate production teams, and ensure seamless 24x7 broadcast coverage from our Englewood Cliffs facilities.

Ideal candidates will bring 3+ years in broadcast environments, strong leadership, and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues quickly. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in an on-air broadcast environment.
• Strong knowledge of television production, broadcast operations, and news/sports/entertainment production requirements.
• Proven leadership, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced settings.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime for 24x7 on-air support.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and facilitation skills.

Role Type: Full-time

Requirements

• 3 yrs experience in an On-air broadcast environment.
• 3 yrs experience exhibiting overall understanding and knowledge of the television production process, broadcast operations, and news/sports/entertainment technical production requirements
• Experience showing strong computer, communication, and facilitation skills
• Experience in a fast-paced environment requiring troubleshooting and process skills, and exhibiting an ability to effectively lead, prioritize and adapt to changing scenarios
• A track record of meeting or exceeding performance expectations
• This position requires the willingness and ability to work any scheduled shift, including nights, both weekend days, and holidays, as well as working overtime on short notice to support the 24x7 on-air broadcast environment.
• Hours: Thursday-Sunday from 3 PM-12 AM ESTPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS in related field
• 3 yrs experience in leading the execution of live television events
• 3 yrs experience demonstrating the ability to effectively lead, prioritize, energize, and coach others
• Extensive and significant experience, understanding and knowledge of digital broadcast and production technical systems, standards and processes
• Technical experience with cloud based automation, real-time systems, digital video and audio, troubleshooting and test techniques
• Extensive knowledge of digital broadcast and production technical systems, standards and processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic understanding of workplace staffing rules and experience in off-hours scheduling of personnel
