Job summary

PCCA in Houston is seeking an Assistant Team Leader of Operations to support the Warehouse and Shipping Supervisors by directing staff and prioritizing tasks to keep shipments accurate and on schedule.

You will monitor workflows, train team members, uphold SOPs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve productivity and quality. Travel up to 20% and rotating schedules are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Prior experience in a customer focused environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, team-building and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Intermediate level computer skills in Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work with team members at all levels to facilitate problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Willingness and ability to travel multiple times a year over weekends and holidays as needed.
• Willingness and ability to work a rotating schedule.
• SharePoint experience, a plus.
• Forklift Certification, a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor warehousing shipping and production activities to ensure accuracy and complete shipments.
• Consult with management to clarify department priorities and suggest improvements.
• Recommend and/or implement measures to increase productivity.
• Maintain and track team metrics and key performance indicators.
• Ensure all SOPs are followed.
• Support and maintain a positive work environment via employee relations.
• Train, lead, and instruct team members.
• Serve as back-up for East and West Coast Distribution Centers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for problem solving.
• Promote and execute PCCA values, culture and quality.
• Pull work orders for production.
• Pick, Pack and Ship customer orders and distribution orders, including international.
• Schedule times of shipment and modes of transportation.
• Travel up to 20%.
