Job summary

Carfair Composites is seeking a Team Lead Operations to oversee a manufacturing crew in a fast-paced FRP production environment. The role supports the production supervisor, ensures safety, quality and timely delivery, and leads a team to meet internal and external customer expectations in a cost-effective manner.

The successful candidate will train and guide staff, organize workloads, read blueprints, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience working as an effective team player.
• Strong computer skills.
• Effective communication skills, organizational skills, blueprint reading, chemical and safety training.
• Available for overtime and Saturdays, when required.

Responsibilities

• Leads assigned personnel to ensure safety, efficiency and quality meet production schedules.
• Leads, instructs and trains employees on required tasks within the department.
• Organizes and prioritizes the work area and workload.
• Encourages a positive team environment.
• Maintains competency to perform all tasks in area of responsibility.
• Works independently with minimal direction, using good judgement and initiative.
• Fills in for staffing shortages due to vacancies or production demand.
• Communicates effectively to assigned personnel and management team members.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and material specifications.
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives.
• Represents the department and company professionally.
• Other duties as assigned.
