Job summary

Carfair Composites, a leader in FRP design, seeks a Composite Operator to join our production team in Alabama. You will fabricate and assemble composite materials, prepare molds, and apply resin and fiberglass layers while adhering to schedules and safety standards.

You will participate in quality checks, document activities, and collaborate with teammates to improve efficiency. A grade 12+ education and willingness to learn are required; lifting up to 20 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 completion or equivalent.
• Experience in composite manufacturing is an asset.
• Ability to work with fiberglass, resins and related materials.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 20 lbs.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare molds and materials for production processes.
• Utilize composite manufacturing techniques, including hand lay-up and resin infusion.
• Apply resin and fiberglass layers according to guidelines and schedules.
• Conduct quality checks on products to meet standards.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with team to optimize production efficiency and quality.
• Document production activities and any non-conformance issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to safety standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
