Job summary

GP&C is seeking a Manufacturing Lead (Aerospace) to oversee daily aerospace composite manufacturing, including lay-up, vacuum bagging, autoclave processing, trimming, and inspection preparation. This role guides operators, ensures safety and quality, and drives continuous improvement across the manufacturing cell.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in composite manufacturing and at least 2 years in a leadership role, with preference for aerospace experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, Aerospace Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of composite manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership, lead, trainer, or supervisory experience.
• Aerospace composites manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily aerospace manufacturing activities including lay-up, vacuum bagging, curing, and autoclave operations.
• Direct the activities of operators and technicians to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
• Develop work instructions, training programs, and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate workflow between lay-up, curing, autoclave, trimming, and inspection.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, customer specifications, and safety standards.
• Support startup, qualification, and ongoing operation of aerospace manufacturing capabilities.
• Mentor personnel and monitor performance metrics for continuous improvement.
• Participate in audits, vendor and customer visits as required.
