Job summary

Turkey Hill is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to recruit for operations, onboard new hires, and support orientation. The role emphasizes coordinating with hiring managers, conducting interviews, and ensuring compliant hiring practices across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of HR experience, preferably in recruiting/staffing.
• Understanding of state and federal employment laws and legal hiring practices.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with HRIS systems, preferably UKG.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary source of knowledge related to Operations staffing and fulfill staffing needs.
• Meet with hiring managers to discuss and plan current openings and future needs.
• Pre-qualify candidates, conduct phone screens, coordinate on-site interviews, and document actions in the recruiting system.
• Assist with onboarding for temporary and direct hires, including drug testing and background checks.
• Support orientation with timeclock scanning, I-9 support, and related tasks.
• Manage PO process for HR and liaise with staffing agencies as needed.
• Source talent via colleges, events, job boards, and social media; report on usage.
• Collaborate with Operations and HR to execute recruiting strategy.
